i’m in batam now!

we came for cable ski and decided to spend the night here. ww and sh got dead drunk and i have lotsa funny photos / videos to upload and tag. hee.

am at the hotel lounge now. sh is snoring alway on the cosy seat, fulin picking up girls from the pool table, ww + chengyu went for massage and jackson + yy are in their little private world as usual.

luckily there is free wifi here and i still get to fb and blog for a while.

we are catching the morning ferry back tomorrow and i am so not looking forward to work on monday. boo….

surprisingly, it is still quite crowded on xmas day. I assumed people will be sleeping in late after partying yesterday.

but then again, the crowd are mostly families and the elderly. hee.

hokay I gotta stop now. sh is complaining that I can’t seem to put down my blackberry for five minutes. well, same goes for him! bleah!

attended the wedding dinner of alan and iris last sunday, and this entry came so late because i was waiting for everyone else to upload the photos.

as a xmas present, my lovely shoonie boy got me the latest blackberry bold 9700 which i had been lemming for since forever!

it is alot slimmer than the original blackberry bold, and even more compact than the blackberry curve which does not boost as much functions.

felt kinda bad as it doesn’t come cheap without signing a mobile plan..

i am still unable to set up the phone though, except for the basic calling functions.  was put on hold by m1 for more than 30 minutes, only to be told that i have to go to a m1 service desk personally to subscribe to blackberry data plans, as it cannot be done over the phone. arggghh…

i had a wonderful dinner yesterday @ sh’s 三姑妈’s.

on one of our soup-spoon-dinner very long ago, winnie introduced pumpkin soup to me and i fell in love instantly. but i always find it a tad too sweet and a bowl has to be shared between two.

home-cooked pumpkin soup is different! it is light enough to consume a full bowl without the aftermath of sweetness overdose.

words alone cannot accentuate enough on my love for beef.

needless to say, i enjoyed the beef tenderloin immensely. complete with my favourite mushroom, crunchy vegetables and yellow corns + carrots.

boy, it’s superb!

my photography skill simply does not do justice to the yummilicious home-cooked food.

over the weekend, shoonie’s mummy made spaghetti with steak. it was terrific also.

a pity that i forgot to take some photos for my blog.

it is really hard to taste home-cooked food nowadays. less instant noodles. which is why i always relish the opportunities to do so. =)

sad to say, this is probably the only photo of my old bike. back then, i wasn’t such a photo-taking fanatic. i can’t even find any photos of my 2nd bike.

a wedding dinner gathered some old friends in the biking circle, most i have not met up with for a veryverylonglong time.

stirred some emotions…. the passion about the feel of freedom on a bike.

and yup! that was my all-time favorite rossi helmet, which was replaced by my shoei norick helmet.

the last i heard of this bike, was that nic took over it.

i faintly recall that it was the last day of my p-plate days and official goodbye to the little triangle plate. did registered for my class 2a, but had never managed to complete the lessons.

taking a look at my license which was obtained in year 2003, it’s been 6 years since i started riding.

bikes seem to play an important part back in my teenage days. all i can remember of that period are the fond memories of late night roundings, suppers, forum meetups, road trips, jb petrol, bikeshops, kopis…

aww… those were the days. =)
