My salary for March 2008 was just credited into my account this morning.
Delighted, I start to make plans for a scrumptious dinner tonight.
The time is 3.40pm now.
I cleared most of my work (by working until 9.30pm for two nights!) and is just waiting for time to pass.
Decided to do some online transactions to clear my bills / installments / debts, before I squander my salary.
To my dismay, I’m left with $274.08 after repaying everything.
Ouch.
My Prudential insurance premium of $140.85, and Hitachi Credit Air-con installment of $155.00, both via GIRO, are not deducted yet.
My current assets include my transport and mobile claim of $178.35, and $200 which I lend my colleague which are yet to be credited.
So, doing some simple calculations….
Balance $274.08
Add Assets $378.35
Less Liabilities $(295.85)
Total $356.58
I have to set aside $85.00 for transport (bus + mrt), which means I’m downto $271.58.
And I really want to get Yakuza Moon this month.
It cost about 35 bucks.
I have been yearning for this book for 2 months! And I promised myself that I will give myself a little reward this month.
I also wanted to get P.S. I Love You, as well as some other books by Cecelia Ahern.
In the end, I decided to borrow these books from the library to save money.
But.. Yakuza Moon is a keepsake book!
Anyway, back to topic calculations, $271.58 – $35 (for Yakuza Moon) = $236.58
As there are 31 days in Jan, I have another 32 days to the next payday.
$236.58 / 32 days = $7.393125 per day.
Wx said since I don’t smoke, it should be more than enough.
Provided that I totally DON’T shop at all.
Possible?
I think not.
SIGH.
Why am I not a rich man’s daughter.
